Greetings Kindergarten Families, Welcome to Emerald Trail Elementary! We are thrilled that your child is joining us this fall and look forward to a wonderful school year ahead.

During the registration process, you completed the Minnesota Language Survey, which indicated that a language other than English is spoken in your home. We deeply value the rich linguistic diversity our families bring to our school community!

Our English Language Development (ELD) teachers would like the opportunity to meet you and your child before school begins to complete a brief language screening. This screening helps us determine if your child would benefit from our English Language Development (ELD) services. These services provide language support to ensure your child has every opportunity to thrive academically alongside their peers.

Next Steps: 1. Please sign-up your child to complete an English proficiency screening on July 13th or 30th. 2. Go to https://www.ptcfast.com/schools/Emerald_Trail_Elementary Scroll down to "ELD Screenings." Click to sign up for a screening time with one of our ELD Teachers. 3.
